This class will be taught by a nationally recognized expert in the Proper Use of Police Authority … Randy Means. This seminar teaches what police officers can and cannot lawfully do under the United States Constitution. Violations of the Federal Constitution can result in the suppression of critical evidence, exposure to massive liability, administrative discipline, and even criminal prosecution. This course will explain all new U.S. Supreme Court decisions, and review important older cases and trends in other appeals courts. This information empowers officers to achieve investigative goals within high ethical standards consistent with their oaths of office, without sacrificing their overall effectiveness. This program is critical to the success of all law enforcement officials but it is especially important for supervisors, managers, administrators and trainers.
