Listed below are available basic law enforcement, basic combined jailor, court security, civil process, and basic telecommunication certification classes. Students may be registered by mail, e-mail: tameka.guild@hampton.gov, or FAX: (757) 595-1801 with the academy registrar.

Basic Combined Jailor, Court Security, & Civil Process School

Basic students are required to wear tan dickies™ style work pants and matching shirts. Shoes, socks, and belts will be as authorized/required for wear with department uniform. A physical form is required for each student prior to the first day. Form is available at www.hrcjta.org. This institution is approved to offer GI Bill® educational benefits by the Virginia State Approving Agency.

Basic Law Enforcement

This school includes classroom instruction and practical exercises. Those who successfully complete this and the on-the-job training requirements provided by their departments, will be certified with the Department of Criminal Justice Services. Students are required to wear professional attire.
